About Nestor Zurita - Born in New York, Zurita started to play the saxophone at age 15 and was picked up by the University of Montana Big Band at the age 17. He studied at Miami-Dade College, Manhattan School of Music and The New School Jazz. He has performed in many cities of the United States, Europe, and various countries of Central and South America, playing concerts in a wide variety of styles, from Jazz to Classical to Contemporary and Modern Music, and exploring and playing traditional music from around the world. Nestor Zurita was also the Director of the Jazz Department and of the Classical Saxophone Program in the National Conservatory of Ecuador.
About AJ Khaw - Khaw began his passion of playing the organ and piano during childhood. This Washington State native earned his B.A. degree in music summa cum laude from Emory University. While in Atlanta he founded the jazz/funk quartet Jazznomad and performed in various classical chamber ensembles. A.J. serves as organist at St. John's On the Lake United Methodist Church on Miami Beach. He founded the local jazz group Sonido Batido and performs regularly in South Florida.
